Kathuri Murungi is a Kenyan Politician the former Member of Parliament for Imenti South constituency and the current Senator of Meru County following the 2022 general election on a UDA party ticket.

Kathuri Murungi Education background
Kathuri attended Machikine Primary school and did his KCPE in 1987 and then joined Ndegene high school and did his KCSE in 1992. He later join Egerton University to pursue Bachelor of Science In Natural Resources Management and graduated in 1998.
Kathuri Murungi Career
Kathuri career began 1999 when he was working at the Conserve International as a Project Coordinator. The following year he got a job in a company in Botswana named Econsults as an Environmental Consultant.
Late in 2002 he was appointed to work at the Maiteih Enterprises Limited in Kenya as a Property Manager. After one year he joined Kenface Econsults (Africa) where he served as the director for a period of ten years.
Politics
During the 2013 general election Kathuri decided to quit his job and contested for the parliamentary position for Imenti South in a TNA party ticket and was successfully elected. He retained the seat after winning again in the 2017 general election. At the national assembly he served in the Departmental committee for Environment and natural resources, regional integration committee, Trade and Industrial Cooperative Committee and Special Funds Accounts Committee
