Kelvin Kioko Bahati is a Kenyan gospel artist and a reality TV star. However, he comes from a poor background in Makueni county. Nonetheless, he rose to fame after singing his song “Mama” where he was singing to his late mother. His parents died at a tender age leaving him an orphan. Therefore, being a bright child, he decided to go to the ABC children’s home in Mathare slums. That is where he would have shelter and access to education.
He got his education up to high school. He went to Nakeel school in Kajiado and then for his secondary education at St Theresa’s Boys in Eastleigh. He managed to score a C+ in KCSE in 2011. It is in 2012 that Bahati decided to venture into the music industry.
