On July 6, 2014, Corey Anderson squared off against Matt Van Buren in the light heavyweight finals at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. In a swift manner, Anderson secured a victory via TKO, concluding the bout a mere 61 seconds into the first round. Initially, Anderson was scheduled to face Gian Villante on December 6, 2014, at UFC 181.
