Nairobi Safari Walk is a park that is in Langata road, Nairobi. Kenya wildlife service (KWS) manages the park. The park is 7km from the capital city. This is a place that people can visit throughout the year. In addition, forests, wet areas, and lastly the savannah surround the park. The park has two main areas where people can see wild animals. They are the animal orphanage and a boardwalk made of wood.

In the wetland areas, there is a river crossing in the park and some animals such as hippopotamus. The park has some areas that have forests and they are fenced to protect tourists from the wild animals. In addition, a savannah walk is a place where tourists have a view of animals such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. However, tourists get to have this view while walking on the boardwalk made of wood.

For the animal orphanage, they protect the wild animals in a cage. Therefore this is to allow tourists to have a close view of the animals. However, on the other side, tourists walk through the boardwalk made of wood. This also enables a close view of the wild animals in nature. There is a large number of animals that are in the park. There are a lot of activities that tourists can enjoy doing in the park. They include watching the birds, walking, taking photos, and lastly enjoying a nice meal at their restaurant. Moreover, tourists enjoy game viewing where tour guides guide them around the park. This is as they drive to watch the various animals. Unfortunately, there is no accommodation that is available in the park. Therefore tourists especially from outside the country have to get accommodation somewhere else.

Since tourists can visit the park throughout the year, they can choose the time they want to visit the park. It is very hot from January to march. It is hot and wet from around April to June. Also from July to December, it is quite warm.

It is advisable to carry water for drinking as it really gets hot sometimes. Other items include binoculars which tourists use to have a close view of the animals. In addition, a guidebook is necessary. This gives the tourists more information about the park.

Entry fee to the park.

The park has different entry fees for residents and nonresidents. For citizens and residents, the adult charge is Ksh 215 while for children is Ksh 125. However, for nonresidents, the charge is 22 Us dollars for adults while for children is 13 Usd. The park is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
