Esther Akoth known as Akothee is a Kenyan musician and a famous female singer in Africa. She was born in 1980 in the county of Kisumu in Kenya. She is one of the most wealthy celebrities in Kenya. However, this is evident as she has numerous expensive cars, big homes, and her businesses. She is also the CEO of Akothee Safaris, tours and travel company.

Akothee is 42 years old as of 2022, as she was born on April 8, 1980, in Kisumu county. She is the firstborn in her family. Her parents are Joshua Owino Kokeyo and Monica Yunita Kokeyo. However, her father was a former district officer and her mother was a politician.

So, she got married at the age of 14 years. They lived in poverty and later her husband left her with three kids. She separated from her husband on October 6th, 2006. After separating from her husband, he went to join her brother in Mombasa. The brother was running a taxi business. So, they, therefore, started driving the taxi in turns and sharing the profit.
This is when she met a diplomat who was interested in knowing the reason behind her being a taxi driver. That chance meant a beginning of a relationship that dramatically changed her life. Their relationship grew and Akothee later relocated with the man to Zurich, Switzerland. After getting a baby with him, she realized that the man was only interested in having kids with her- and not marriage. Angered, she took a flight back to Kenya where she began her music career. She started investing in real estate (Akothee Property) and also began her tourism business (Akothee Safaris).
Children.
Akothee has five children. Three girls from her first marriage and two boys from foreigners. Her firstborn was born when she was 14 years. This is Vesha Shalian Okello. She gave birth to her second child who was also a girl at the age of 15 years. In a sad turn of events, the child passed away as Akothee had no funds to take her to a hospital when she got ill. Her third born, whom she got at sixteen years Akothee is Celine Dion Okello, popularly known as Rue Baby. In the year 2000, she got another daughter by the name of Prudence Apundo. The other two boys are Oyoo and Ojwang’.
