Aden Duale is a politician from the Garissa Township constituency which is in Garissa county. He is one of the most fierce politicians in Kenya. His full name is Aden Bare Duale.

Duale was born in 1969. Also, he was born in Balamba Constituency, Garissa County. He is the son of Hawar Kosar, who was a small-scale businesswoman. His father was a pastoralist.

So, Duale joined school in the year 1975 for his primary education at Boystown Primary School in Garissa County. After completing his primary education, he joined Garissa High School in the year 1982. However, he also went to the Moi Forces Academy in Nakuru County in 1986.
Here, he wasn’t to undertake his ordinary and advanced levels respectively. Aden then went to Moi University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Also, he further undertook his Master’s degree at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Moreover, he pursued other professional courses such as Animal disease and traceability System, Project Management, Conflict Management, and Livestock Marketing and Value Chain, Conflict resolution and peacebuilding and also Livestock Cross-Border trade.
Career
Aden started his career in teaching at Sankuri Secondary School in 1992. However, he did not teach for more than one year. When he left teaching, he joined Garissa Provincial Commissioner office in the position of a clerical officer. In this office, he worked for six months and started family business. Later, he went to wotk with Kenya Broadcasting Corporation where he took up the role as a director until 2003. Also, he was among the founder members of the Livestock Marketing Society of Kenya.

In the year 2007, he joined politics with the Orange Democratic Party (ODM). He also vied for a member of parliament seat for Dujis Constituency seat and won. In the year 2011, he left ODM for United Republican Party (URP) which was headed by Hon. William Ruto. This is the coalition that joined hands with the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta and formed Jubilee which was on power from 2013 to August 2022. With the jubilee coalition, Aden was the majority leader in the National Assembly upto June 2020 when they disagreements arose between the then president Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto.
