How do I cook pork Chops and directions?

There are many different types of Kenyan recipes. One of them is the pork chops. It is a recipe that you would not want to miss.

Pork Chops.

The meal which we are going to share its recipe is the sweetened pork chops.

Ingredients;

  • 4 top loins of pork chops
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp of honey
  • 12 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp of oil
  • 4 tsp of ginger root (grated)
  • 2 tbsp of chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

Directions;

Step 1

In a medium-size bowl whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, oil, and chili sauce. This will make just over 1 cup of marinade. Reserve the extra half of the marinade, set it aside. Pour the rest of the marinade over the pork chops and marinate them for at least 10 minutes. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add the chops to the skillet, discard the remaining marinade.

Step 2

Cook for 5 minutes or until the chops have browned on one side.

Step 3

Flip the pork chops and add the reserved marinade to the pan; cook for 5 more minutes or until the pork reaches an internal temperature between 145 degrees F. (Medium rare) to 160 degrees F. (Medium). Let rest before serving.

Accompaniment.

The pork chops will be accompanied by mashed potatoes in this case.

However, you can use different types of starch to accompany the pork chops.

Mashed Potatoes.

This type of meal on the other hand is a good accompaniment for the pork chops as much as you would consider ugali on its replacement.

Ingredients;

  • 4 lb. Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 5 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tbsp of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream or milk
  • Freshly grounded pepper

Directions;

Step 1

First, peel the potatoes and rinse them. Secondly, add the potatoes into a large pot and add enough water to cover them. Salt the water as much as two tbsp and cover the pot.

Step 2

Place the pot on your stove and turn the heat at a high temperature. However, consider the size of potatoes you have used in this case. In addition, bring to a boil for 10 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and are easily smashable. Afterward, turn off the heat.

Step 3

afterward, drain the potatoes and return the pot to the hot burner. In the meantime, leave the pot uncovered for about 10 minutes. Now add the butter and mix with a wooden spoon or a spatula so the butter is evenly distributed.

Step 4

Equally, mash all the potatoes to desired consistency. Later on, add sour cream and mix together. Lastly, add the heavy cream or milk and mix it together.

Step 5

Above all, add salt and pepper to taste. Add a pat of butter on top before serving. Serve with the pork chops with your desired sauce while still hot.
