Ichungwa did his primary school education at Kikuyu Township Primary School. Then for his secondary education, he joined Alliance Boys High School. To further his education, he joined the Kenya College of Accounting (KCA) where he did CPA1. However, he finished the course at Strathmore University. In 1996 he proceeded to the University of Nairobi to pursue a bachelor’s degree in economics and history. He is a graduate with an honors degree in Economics.

Kimani Ichung’wa Career background
After his graduation in 2002, he started working in a shoe company that was owned by his brother and his friend. This is after his failure to secure himself a career job. Later he got a job at the DiverseyLever for two years.
In 2002 he quit his job to start his own business where he built a butchery to sell meat. Moreover, Kimani Ichungwa’s leadership career began when he was in high school where he was elected house prefect and was also a senior prefect in charge of discipline.
He joined politics in 2007 where he vied for the Kikuyu Member of Parliament but lost. Ichungwa vied again in 2013 and won the election. He was reelected in 2017. He was again reelected in the 2022 general elections.
Additionally, while in politics, he worked in various companies including; Safexafrica Limited as finance director, Standard Group as a senior accountant, and Madison insurance company as a senior accountant.
He is a vocal politician when he expresses his view. Being the leader of the majority, he is among the allies of President William Ruto in the National Assembly.
