Phillip Schofield is a British television presenter and personality. He is well known for his work as a presenter on ITV’s daytime show “This Morning,” which he has co-hosted from the year 2002. He was born on 1st April 1962 in Oldham, Lancashire, England. Therefore, he is 62 years years old.

Phillip got married to Stephanie Lowe in the year 1993. The two met while he was working as a BBC production assistant. Together, they have two daughters namely Molly and Ruby.

However, in February 2020, Schofield publicly came out as gay. This was a significant revelation about his private life. However, he and Stephanie released a joint statement stating continued support for each other and their family.

In addition, he has spoken openly about the love and support he has received from his family throughout this process and expressed gratitude to Stephanie. This is because of her understanding and their commitment to maintaining a strong and supportive relationship, even after he made the announcement.


So, he attended several schools during his education. Initially, he went to the Newquay Tretherras School in Newquay, Cornwall, England. Later, he went to the Talbot Heath School, an independent school in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Afterward, he went to study at the Arts University Bournemouth which was formerly known as the Arts Institute at Bournemouth. Here, he pursued a course in radio, television, and film studies.

Although his education in media studies played a big role in shaping his career path, his practical experience and on-the-job training have been key factors in his success as a television presenter.

Schofield is well known for his long-standing career on ITV’s flagship daytime show, “This Morning.” He joined the show in the year 2002 as a co-presenter together with Fern Britton. In 2008, he became the main presenter when she left. Phillip has hosted the show with various co-presenters over the years. These include Holly Willoughby, with whom he formed a popular presenting duo.

In addition, he has presented other many television programs such as game shows like “The Cube” and “All Star Mr and Mrs.” Also, he has hosted several award ceremonies such as the British Soap Awards and the National Television Awards.

Schofield was said to have quit ITV and admitted to an accusation of an affair with a younger male colleague at This Morning while he was still married. The 61-year-old stepped down from presenting the daytime TV program on Saturday 20th May 2023. He said the “consensual on-off relationship” was “unwise, but not illegal”.
